About Camira - Our Heritage
We started out in 1974 as Camborne Fabrics, growing our business first in the UK, then continental Europe through service emphasis and short leadtimes.
In the 1990s we were acquired by US commercial interiors company Interface Inc and changed our name to Interface Fabrics.
Further acquisitions brought us new capabilities (Teknit - 3D knitting) and took us into important new markets (British Furtex Fabrics – transportation).
In 2006 we returned to independent ownership following a management buy-out and became Camira.
